Vancouver Hack Space Demos
In our commitment to giving you the most bang for your conference buck, and because some of us believe that cross-pollinating the formal Open Education community with other grass-roots based initiatives 1 is one of the key directions for this movement to grow, we invited folks from the Vancouver Hack Space to come down and demo some of their projects throughout the duration of the conference. They will be setting up in the “Unconference” space, Room C215, alongside various Remixathon groups who will also be busy demoing and, well, remixing, and we hope you will drop by for a look and a chat.
- As an aside, one of my (Scott Leslie’s) votes for a keynote this year was Beth Kolko, founder of the Hackademia project, which points to one model for how this synergy might work. Even though my wish didn’t come true, you can still hear Beth discuss the interplay of experts, non-experts and open innovation ↩
