Keynotes
Interesting and provocative keynotes will join us at Open Ed 2010:

  • Erik Duval, Professor of Computer Science at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium
  • Brenda Gourley, former Vice Chancellor of The Open University, Great Britain
  • Raquel Xalabarder, Director of learning resources at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, Spain

Setup

The first two days of the conference will be dedicated to presenting research, developments, best cases, and so forth in a conference format. The final day will focus on the development of a White Paper on OER.

Organisation

Open Ed made the step last year to leave the United States and organize the 6th Annual Conference in Vancouver, Canada. This year the move is even bolder, better reflecting the world-wide reach and appeal of Open Education, to Barcelona, Spain. The conference is being organised by the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (Open University of Catalunya), Open Universiteit Nederland (Open University of the Netherlands), and Brigham Young University.
